About the Founder
Hi, I’m Jannet — a passionate homeschool educator, community leader, and entrepreneur.
My homeschool journey began with a sense of isolation—but that experience sparked a powerful mission: to make sure no family ever feels alone on this path. I founded Flourish Homeschool Group, a vibrant community that offers park meetups, family-friendly events, workshops, and a growing library of online resources for new homeschoolers. What started as a small effort to connect turned into a thriving network of families learning and growing together.
In 2023, I launched Flourish Homeschool Enrichment, a gardening-based program I run from my home, combining hands-on learning with emotional intelligence, the arts, entrepreneurship, Spanish, and nature-based education. With the help of a $10,000 grant, I transformed our backyard into a child-friendly garden and learning space where children are free to explore, create, and connect—with each other and the world around them.
As a first-generation college student, I know what it means to carve your own path. I’ve worked since I was 14, led teams by 18, and became CFO Controller of a hospitality business by 24. After co-founding a successful business, I transitioned to full-time homeschooling while supporting our family through web design and small business consulting.
Through it all, my purpose has remained the same: to build spaces where families feel safe, seen, and supported. I lead with heart—showing up, listening, encouraging, and creating opportunities for parents to step into their own power. Flourish isn’t just a program; it’s a community built on trust, creativity, and the belief that every family deserves to belong.
Where Passion Meets Purpose
MY WHY
After our first year of homeschooling, I felt lonely and isolated. My children longed for face-to-face connection with other kids, and I yearned for sisterhood—a sense of belonging I couldn’t seem to find in the spaces available to us. So, I created what we needed.
This community was built from the ground up—with courage, hard work, and a deep trust in my intuition. What emerged was more than a group; it became a safe space where sisterhood thrives and our children feel they truly belong. Our goal is simple but powerful: to build friendships slowly and intentionally, and to revive the village ways we all so deeply crave.
Starting the enrichment program was another leap of faith. I did it with fear in my heart—but I did it anyway, because it was needed. And I was guided every step of the way.
I want you to know this: It is possible to live a slow, intentional life. To nurture your children and build something meaningful. To work from a place of love.
